Scheduling Your Observation Day
Attendees observe and treat no patients — no Arizona license is required. One dental assistant may accompany each dentist at no additional charge.
What Is the All-on-4® Surgical Observation Mentorship?
Implant Education Company is proud to offer an exclusive, limited-seat Surgical Observation Mentorship Program — a one-day, immersive clinical experience at Aria Dental Implant Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
This program is designed for dentists and dental laboratory technicians who want to observe the All-on-4® treatment protocol performed at the highest level, within a fully integrated digital workflow refined by Dr. Joe Mehranfar and his team over many years.
Dr. Mehranfar is one of the most prolific All-on-4® clinicians in the United States, performing among the highest monthly volumes of full-arch cases in Arizona. He is an international lecturer for Nobel Biocare and SprintRay — the same organizations that train dental professionals worldwide on the All-on-4® system. This mentorship places you directly in his operatory, observing real cases on real patients with real-time commentary.
You will observe
- Two dual-arch All-on-4® surgeries, or one dual-arch and one single-arch surgery
- The complete digital workflow from surgical planning through same-day prosthetic delivery
- Intraoral scanning (IOS) and digital impression workflow
- Photogrammetry for precise multi-unit abutment position capture
- In-house 3D printing and CAD/CAM temporary prosthesis fabrication
- Same-day prosthetic delivery to the patient
The Digital Workflow
Years in the Making — A System Unlike Any Other
What sets this mentorship apart is access to a proprietary, fully integrated digital workflow developed and refined by Dr. Mehranfar and the Aria team. This is not a generic All-on-4® observation — it is a front-row seat to one of the most advanced digital implant workflows in the country.
Intraoral Scanning (IOS)
Full-arch digital impressions with high-accuracy IOS devices — no physical impressions, no margin for error from traditional materials.
Photogrammetry
Precise capture of multi-unit abutment spatial positions using photogrammetry technology, ensuring prosthesis accuracy that cannot be achieved with conventional methods.
3D Printing & CAD/CAM
In-house design and fabrication of the temporary full-arch prosthesis using SprintRay 3D printing technology, delivered to the patient the same day as surgery.
Additional workflow components
Observers will also gain insight into:
- Nobel Biocare implant placement protocols
- Multi-unit abutment selection and torque sequencing
- Analog and digital prosthetic conversion techniques
- The post-operative care framework that Aria has standardized across thousands of full-arch cases

Ideal Participants
For dentists
- General dentists looking to add All-on-4® to their practice and wanting to observe the full surgical and restorative process with the digital workflow in a busy dental implant center with a full-service digital dental lab
- Implant dentists seeking to elevate their digital workflow with IOS, photogrammetry, and in-house 3D printing
- Oral surgeons and periodontists wanting to observe how the prosthetic and digital components integrate with the surgical phase
- Any licensed U.S. dentist with a sincere interest in full-arch implant treatment at the highest level
For dental laboratory technicians
- Lab technicians working with All-on-4® cases who want to observe the chairside and digital workflow firsthand to better understand the clinical context of their laboratory work
- Technicians interested in photogrammetry and 3D printing as they apply to same-day prosthetic fabrication
- Lab owners looking to develop stronger referring relationships with high-volume implant practices
Attendees observe and treat no patients, so no Arizona licensure is required. If you want the hands-on companion to this experience, our All-on-4® cadaver course puts the same surgical sequence in your hands on cadaver specimens. Many dentists pair the two.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the sequence of a complete All-on-4® treatment day, from surgical planning through same-day prosthetic delivery.
- Analyze the surgical workflow of live dual-arch and single-arch All-on-4® cases as performed by an experienced full-arch clinician.
- Explain how intraoral scanning and photogrammetry are used to capture implant positions for same-day restoration.
- Describe the role of 3D printing and CAD/CAM fabrication in same-day prosthesis production.
- Describe Nobel Biocare implant placement protocols, multi-unit abutment selection, and torque sequencing as applied in full-arch treatment.
- Compare analog and digital prosthetic conversion techniques.
- Evaluate how an in-house digital laboratory integrates with the surgical team on the day of treatment.
- Assess how the observed workflow could be adapted to their own practice's full-arch program.
Who You'll Observe
Observe Dr. Joe Mehranfar
Diplomate ABOI/ID
Dr. Joe Mehranfar is one of the most prolific All-on-4® clinicians in the United States, performing among the highest monthly volumes of full-arch cases in Arizona. A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID), former adjunct professor at Midwestern University and A.T. Still University, and an international lecturer for Nobel Biocare and SprintRay, Dr. Mehranfar performs full-arch treatment daily at Aria Dental Implant Center — the working implant center where this observation day takes place.
Seats Are Extremely Limited
Because this is an active surgical environment with real patients, observation spots are limited to a very small number of participants per session. Dates are scheduled based on Dr. Mehranfar's surgical calendar and patient availability.
We strongly encourage interested participants to reach out early to secure their preferred date. Priority is given on a first-come, first-served basis. Travel and hotel details are on our Travel page.
Reserve Your Observation Spot
Call or text us and we'll find an observation day that works around your schedule and Dr. Mehranfar's surgical calendar.

Please note
Implant Education Company does not guarantee the number or type of cases observed on any given day. Unforeseen patient circumstances may affect scheduling. All sessions are subject to patient consent and clinical appropriateness. Cancellation follows the same policy as every course: cancel 60 or more days before your scheduled observation day for a refund; inside 60 days, tuition is non-refundable.
Mentorship Program FAQs
Do I perform any surgery in this program?
No. This is a pure observation and mentorship experience — you observe live All-on-4® treatment and the complete digital workflow. Because no attendee treats patients, no Arizona temporary license is required. For hands-on full-arch training, see our All-on-4® cadaver course.
What will I actually see during the day?
Two dual-arch All-on-4® surgeries, or one dual-arch and one single-arch surgery, plus the full same-day workflow around them: surgical planning, intraoral scanning, photogrammetry, 3D printing, CAD/CAM prosthesis fabrication, and same-day prosthetic delivery. Because these are real scheduled patients, we cannot guarantee the number or type of cases observed on any given day.
How many CE credits does the program provide?
Attending dentists earn 8 CEUs for the one-day program. Implant Education Company is an approved AGD PACE provider (Provider Code 316714).
How do I pick a date?
Observation days are scheduled around live patient care at Aria Dental Implant Center, so there are no fixed published dates — call or text (602) 730-1676 and we'll find an available day. Seats are extremely limited and filled first come, first served.
Can dental laboratory technicians register?
Yes. Dental laboratory technicians are welcome to register for the observation day — the digital workflow portions, from photogrammetry through CAD/CAM fabrication in the on-site laboratory, are directly relevant to full-arch lab work. Call or text (602) 730-1676 to reserve a date.
Can my dental assistant attend?
Yes — one dental assistant may accompany each dentist at no additional charge.
What does tuition cost, and are payment plans available?
Tuition is $2,500 per observer, paid in full. Installment plans are not offered for the mentorship program. Lunch is included.
What is the cancellation policy for this program?
The same policy applies to every course: cancel 60 or more days before your scheduled observation day for a refund. Inside 60 days, tuition is non-refundable. Separately, all sessions are subject to patient consent and clinical appropriateness, and unforeseen patient circumstances may affect scheduling.
